Creative Scholars Preschool Safety Statement
Here at Creative Scholars Preschool, we understand that entrusting your children to the care of others is a serious decision and one that parents do not take lightly. We strive to ensure our families feel comfortable leaving their children in our care.
We regularly and systematically clean and sanitize our play areas and classrooms. Since Covid-19 we have increased our cleaning routines to more thoroughly disinfect and wipe down all areas using non-toxic cleaning supplies. Our classrooms are still warm, inviting, and nurturing learning environments for our little learners, with toys specifically curated to ensure all of our surfaces can be completely disinfected.
Students’, parents’, and teachers’ temperatures are taken before entering our center, using an infrared touchless thermometer. One parent or caregiver can enter to drop off their children. All classrooms will have between 8-15 students, depending on the age group, in order to provide a smaller class size and a safer environment for the children. The children’s’ temperatures are recorded three times a day to ensure everyone’s safety.
Students in each class have meals and snacks within their classroom. This limits the amount cross-classroom interaction. Every classroom in our center has its own, independent bathroom, also limiting the amount of cross-classroom interaction. Handwashing activities throughout the day are included for each of our classrooms to ensure that the children’s hands are being regularly cleaned. Our staff is masked for the protection of the children, and we take time to provide age-appropriate explanations about face coverings to provide children ample opportunity to be comfortable. These activities may include dramatic play with face masks, reading books, or even letting the children explore this new dynamic through arts and crafts.
Tours will be offered to new families at our location, after hours. New families may also choose to have a virtual tour during the day.
